The Stepford Wives by Ira Levin

Written in 1972 this still held up as a domestic thriller, with satirical tendency, in 2019. Poking fun of the idealized female housewife of the 1950s it hits a bit close to home when you realize some men would still love this "perfect" woman. Stepford Wife has become a cultural term and duly so. This could easily happen then, and now. I am so happy that I found this copy in my personal collection and took the time to read it. Recommend for a quick easy read that will leave you a bit unsettled.
